Veronica Smith pulled up with “Goodness of God” sounding like she came to bridge generations and leave everybody blessed. 😄
This track is youthful, hip, and got a strong bump to it — the kind of beat that makes you nod your head without even realizing you’re in praise mode. It’s got that trap/R&B gospel flavor where you can hear the modern energy right away.
But THEN…
These seasoned gospel vocals come sliding in like a veteran bronco buster taming a young wild horse. 🤠😂
I’m talking full grown, church-tested, “I done survived the 90s choir era” vocals! I was over here enjoying the young vibe thinking I knew what kind of ride we were on… and Veronica said, “Nah… I’m about to SING sing.”
And you know what? It works.
That contrast is what makes it special:
The beat gives the young folks something to ride to
The vocals make the seasoned saints stand up like, “Hold on baby… run that back!” 🙌🏾
It’s one of those records where the teens can vibe, the adults can shout, and grandma can still say, “That girl got church in her!”
Bottom line: Veronica Smith didn’t just make a song — she made a bridge. This one is for the young AND the old… I mean… the seasoned saints. 😄🔥
