Born Allyson Janene Simpson in Los Angeles, CA, and raised in Pomona, CA, Allyson’s love for music began early. By age 13, she was singing in the First Union Missionary Baptist Church youth choir under the guidance of Tim Bishop Brown, the writer and producer behind Beverly Crawford's gospel hit “He’s Done Enough.” She also honed her skills performing with the Gospel Music Workshop of America (Los Angeles Chapter), founded by the legendary James Cleveland.

In 2010, Allyson joined forces with choir partner Dennis Flannigan to form the gospel duo “Intimate Praise,” performing and recording throughout Southern California. Their debut CD, “I Wanna Know You,” was written and produced by Danny Londo of San Diego, CA. In addition to the duo, Allyson sang with the 10-member Christian choir “Instruments For Christ,” created by the non-profit organization Men and Women Under Construction under founder Carlotta Washington.
A major life transition came in 2017 when Allyson remarried and relocated to the Houston, TX area, quickly gaining recognition in the Southern gospel scene. She toured extensively across the South, Midwest, and East Coast with comedian Travele Judon, who had recently performed with Kirk Franklin. After seven years in Texas, business opportunities brought her to Las Vegas, NV, where she continues to thrive as a gospel artist.

Allyson has shared the stage with gospel greats and legendary performers, including Four Tops, Kathy Taylor, Chester Baldwin, Erica Campbell, Brian Courtney Wilson, Zacardi Cortez, and the Walls Group. She has performed for audiences as large as 5,000 gospel fans at the 2022 92.1 Houston Praise in the Park Concert. From iconic venues like the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA, the DuSable Theatre in Chicago, and the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, NY to intimate rural churches across America, Allyson Moses has one mission: “lifting up His name through song.”
