"Keep Praying” – DJ ODOT

Every time something comes across the desk from DJ ODOT, I already know what time it is. It’s gotten to the point where you don’t even question it—you just go ahead and load it into rotation. Honestly, we might need to make him honorary Music Director at IAG Radio, because the man has not missed yet.

“Keep Praying” continues that streak in a major way. From the jump, this isn’t loud, high-energy, stomp-the-floor gospel. This is that smooth southern soul gospel sound—laid back, warm, and easy riding. And here’s what makes it even better: DJ ODOT is from Philly. Somehow, he tapped into a whole southern soul pocket like he grew up on a front porch in Mississippi, and it works perfectly.

The production is clean and effortless, sitting right in that groove where it doesn’t try too hard but still pulls you in. It’s the kind of track you can play in the car, around the house, or late at night when you’re just thinking about life. No matter the setting, it fits.

But what really makes the song stand out is the message. “Keep Praying” is simple, but that’s what makes it powerful. This isn’t deep, complicated theology—it’s real-life faith. The kind that reminds you to stay connected when things aren’t going your way, when you don’t see results, or when you feel like giving up. It speaks directly to those quiet moments where you’re trying to figure things out.

There’s even a little humor in how the song hits. You start off just vibing, thinking, “This is smooth, I needed this,” and before you know it, you’re in a full conversation with God like you haven’t talked to Him in weeks. That’s when you know the record is doing what it’s supposed to do.

DJ ODOT clearly understands something a lot of artists miss—you don’t have to be loud to be powerful. Sometimes the smooth records reach deeper, the calm ones hit harder, and the simple ones stay with you longer. “Keep Praying” is a perfect example of that.

This track fits IAG Radio like it was made for it. It’s the kind of record that doesn’t just sound good—it serves a purpose.

In the end, this isn’t just a song. It’s a reminder to stay connected when life gets disconnected.
