Seems like these newsletters are getting further apart. Although not complete with links and info on so many wonderful added songs, I decided to write you something. Something to encourage and uplift myself and hopefully you too. Yes fam a brother is overwhelmed. But I look to Romans 8:18 “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” Oooh Lord that hit me. I may be the only one writing this newsletter, programming the website and radio station but at least God has provided 6 close friends that help in finding new music and online promotion. I’m doing a lot now but the station and website has grown significantly. As I fellowshipped with brother Cameron, head of Media Production at Crossings Church Las Vegas, God’s glory was being revealed. Brother Cam ministered to me like I was in Sunday service. Philipians 4:13 “I can do all things...” has a stronger feel since I went back and read the entire chapter 4. With this overwhelming feeling I can rejoice! It’s in the book! “Rejoice” then Philipians 4:6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Do not be anxious about anything. Then the key to the requests is “with thanksgiving”. So I must be THANKFUL for what I have before I move on. The wife and I are overwhelmed in our search for a new home and studio here in Las Vegas. But at least we can search. We complain about the high price of real estate here but a least we have the financial means of purchasing. I complain about so much work and not enough me but there are folk with no jobs and here I am running crews for Google fiber. I complain about searching for a local home church and the Crossings reached out to not only welcome us in visiting but offered the opportunity to join the production team. While still assisting the media ministry at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Baytown Texas, God has allowed me to be a part of a large scale production in Las Vegas. Should I complain about how Ricky Dillard did me at the 2024 Stellar Awards. Actually it was my wife's fault more than Ricky. No one prepared me for how this man would wow me, reach out and slap the Holy Spirit into to me with an amazing live inspirational piece. Then Tamela Mann comes on and turns an award show concert into church! All artists who performed that night were "Stellar" (pun intended) but Ricky and Tamela made the auditorium feel like Shiloh Amazing Grace AME First Missionary Church of God and Christ of Small Creek Peachtree Bayou Alasippibama.
When I focus on the Goodness of God, the weight on my shoulders lift. When I focus on His Blessings of Chad Howard, Phillip Gullage, James Williams, Calvin D and the wife who help in music gathering and promotion, I'm reminded I'm not alone. When I focus on His Grace of affording real estate in a multi-million dollar community, I stop complaining about how expensive it is here. Transitions in life due to death in the family, new location and new job. The angels of our family are watching over us. We are overwhelmed with the new and the transition but we are blessed with reaching a higher level in life. Thank you for your patience with newsletter releases, website updates and the return of our podcast. Production for new music and the podcast looks like a 2025 return. We'll keep you up to date. We've added so many good songs since the last time I wrote. Sorry I don't have the listening links set up. Still working on a fluid method of charting using Mediabase and GSC (Gospel Station Charts) info. Congrats to Brent Jones for his number one on Billboard Gospel charts. Funny how Terrain and Forrest Frank are on the Christian and R&B charts but not gospel. For a few weeks, Bri Babineaux had a hot gospel single that was only getting support from the R&B stations. While CeCe Winans is all over R&B, Gospel and Christian stations with "That's My King". She's the only artist at this time doing all three. We'll look at chart politics more in depth in the weeks and months to come.
We at itsallgospel.com (iag radio) support indie music big time. As you can see in our lists there are a couple of tracks that we want to play but the artist or promo company has not provided a complete metadata mp3 file. There are some of you promoters I let slide because you do send the cover art but it's not attached to the mp3. Kudos to the indie artists like FeelJones that do their homework and promote themselves.
What's missing this month are the listings from Churching With Chad Howard and An Evening of Intimate Praise with Ally Mo. These fine potnas of mine did add new music to their line up.
Krystal Grinston was almost one of those artists that didn't make it due to incomplete metadata. But because of great self promotion, interaction and a hot track, she will receive love and support like all the others on iag radio. She submitted her tune like a bazillion others do. We gave a listen, loved the song and simply asked for cover art. She replied right away with said art and walla...she's on! Advice to some of you indie artists and radio promoters...send complete metadata mp3 files with cover art. Some of y'all wonder why your music ain't getting played. Sending the right info is part of the politics of networking and relationship building.
